Ontario Appraisal Services – Cornwall

An appraisal is required for most mortgages or transfer of title in Ontario. We recommend that you use a “Certified Registered Appraiser” (CRA) to determine the present fair market value of your property. The appraiser will inspect your property, take pictures and compare it to at least  three other similar properties in your area. The result will be a market value that will reflect any improvements or negative aspects of your property.

CRA’s are independant contractors and mortgage brokers have no influence on the CRA or the value placed on the property. This results in an unbiased value of your property and the market value is used to determine how much of a mortgage you can acquire.
